Examining The HP Q6000A Versatile Laserjet Toner Cartridge System

By Ben Pate

The HP Q6000A color laserjet toner cartridge is a combination color and black toner cartridge that has been designed to be compatible with a wide variety of Hewlett Packard LaserJet printers. It accomplishes that task quite easily while also coming in at a price that is extremely reasonable, especially when one considers the range of print tasks that it can support.

There are a number of printers at this LaserJet cartridge is compatible with, including the 2605 and 2600n line of printer units along with a number of other color models. Hewlett-Packard has applied its ColorSphere technology to the task of bringing to this printer and ability to produce pages that are as near to being perfect as can be from a LaserJet printer.

Laserjet printing is recognized as being the ideal mechanism for print jobs that demand high quality in a number of areas when looking at the finished product. This particular cartridge does particularly well at turning out pages that feature blacks that are very sharp, for one. Also, the colors that can be produced are notably impressive on a number of fronts.

One such reason is that just about every color that is possible to be produced from this cartridge set up emerges looking brilliant and bright. When it comes to printing that needs to be of photo-quality, it's hard to find anything to quibble about when looking at this particular set up. The company looks to have worked very hard to produce a cartridge that works easily and with little sweat.

Also, pages come out very quickly for a color LaserJet printer task. HP says that the cartridge system can produce a wider range of colors, up to 22% more than in older color LaserJet cartridge setups. As far as rating such a system based on this kind of quality, it is readily apparent that HP has delivered a model that is impressive almost across the board.

As a matter of technical specificity, color LaserJet printers use four cartridges normally. It combines these four colors (black, magenta, cyan and yellow) to deliver just about every color that can be thought of and in a way that is fast, and of high quality. This is regardless of how richly detailed four-color soaked the original copy may be. That this comes from the cartridge is exceptional.

When it comes to page output or yield, the Q6000A is a particularly durable and long-lasting model. The black cartridge itself is rated for at least 2500 pages of output, which is a step above the number that many other units of this type can produce. The three color cartridges can generally produce somewhere in the neighborhood of 2000 pages that are photo-quality in character.

Prices for the HP Q6000A color laserjet cartridge are also reasonable. With online pricing readily available the lowest price found for the black unit comes in at around 35 dollars while a complete set of four cartridges, which make up the total system, can be had for as little as 151 dollars for a new, in-the-box, set of four. All-in-all, a very fine price for a really nice cartridge setup. - 22787
