Laptop Docking Stations - Adding Practicality And Comfort To Your Laptop When You're NOT Traveling!

By Tom Top

As time passes laptop and notebook computers are getting smaller and smaller. Now they even have tiny netbooks that weigh less than a pound yet are extremely powerful. These computers are great for getting work done while on the road but are not very user friendly when you're comparing them to your desktop computer at home or work.

If you've ever tried hooking up your entire home or work accessories to a laptop you've created a monstrosity with USB tentacles coming out of it at all angles. If you don't accidentally, pull your external hard drive off the desk, you've gotten pretty close to doing it. Or worse yet try to find a flat space to place a cup of coffee. Shift your laptop a little and you might end up spilling your coffee everywhere.

The solution is to get a good laptop docking station. Basically, you convert your portable laptop into a practical and functional desktop computer. All of your components plug directly into your docking station so all you have to do is plug your laptop into the docking station and you're ready to go. All of a sudden your laptop computer is transformed into a comfortable and functional desk top like workstation.

It's like sending your little laptop through a computer makeover machine. In goes a tiny screen, keyboard, finicky touch pad and out comes your perfect ergonomically correct computer. Your favorite ergonomic external keyboard, trackball mouse, and large computer screen are at your command.

If your manufacturer doesn't make a docking station for your specific model there are tons of reasonably priced models available. Just figure out what you'd like to plug into your computer and what type of cord connection they use before deciding on which docking station is right for you! - 22787
