Acer Laptops Are At The Top When It Comes To Functionality, Price, And Size

By Andrew Johnson

When it comes to laptops Acer is one of the most popular manufacturers these days. Acer laptops are not the only hot item in that market, their netbooks sell like hotcakes. Up until recently, they were the only netbook manufacturer that did not offer a 10' netbook. Even with that, their sales still soared above the rest. Now that they have released their 10' model, their sales continue to rise above the rest

Netbooks are the most portable of portable computers. They are nearly as light as a standard smart phone and can easily fit into many different sized bags (yes, even a purse). The keyboard, like on other Acer models, is just as functional as other keyboards. Even if you have bigger hands you can type with ease. The mouse, on the other hand, is not so great. However, most users are able to overlook this flaw.

Acer's 10' model, known as the AspireOne, provides consumers with the same functionality that you would find in a laptop, just in a smaller container. As soon as you get your new machine, you can connect to your home or office wireless network and begin communicating with the world. Connectivity has never been easier. The AspireOne has a switch, right at the front of the computer that allows users to easily connect or disconnect from the world.

The Acer AspireOne also gives consumers easy access to Bluetooth connectivity. Right above the keyboard is an easily accessible button to turn this connectivity option off or on. No other netbook or notebook, on the market today, gives users such ease of access to their Bluetooth devices.

Acer is known for the battery life in their machines, but they have outdone themselves this time. The battery life, on the new 10' model, is a little more than four hours. Now, if you are watching a movie and have other things running, you may not get this time out of it. But if you are using basic functionality, you will have no problem staying away from an outlet for nearly five hours.

Acer, once again, has outdone the competition. Not only is this a decent netbook, but it sells at a price that is very competitive. In fact, if you keep your eyes open, you can find sales that will allow you to purchase one for under $300 if not less. No other netbook, that offers this functionality, can be purchased at these prices. The question is, is it cheap because it is cheap?

While Acer is known for their netbooks, their 10' model is not the best they have released. While this is a good basic model for a basic user, it does have its shortcomings. However, when it comes to Acer laptops, you really cannot go wrong. So whether you are buying the new 10' netbook or another model, you will be happy with your purchase. - 22787
