Media Player Technology Has Moved Onto The Mp5 Player

By Brendon Sachs

A mp5 player is more than just a juiced up mp3. Or is it? At times it seems if technology is moving faster than anything except time. One day your just graduating high school and the very next time you turn around, you're on the verge of thirty. Technology works in the same way.

The difference is with technology, you could have just gone out and bought your first mp3 player. When you get home and start to download some tunes onto your new tech toy, you see the commercial for the brand-new mp5 player from Sony. Ideally, we'd all like to keep up with the times, but our wallets don't always cooperate.

It is necessary to upgrade sometimes. Most of us aren't riding around listening to 8-tracks in our cars anymore. If you own or operate a washer and dryer then your not scrubbing your clothes in a wooden tub in the backyard. There is a fine line between want and need. Consumers need to be able to straddle that line efficiently. Those of us still using a portable cd player when we go jogging, could stand a change.

When the mp3 was introduced on a major level, the portable cd player was the preferred media player. Brand names like Walkman were known in every house hold. Then the ipod stormed onto the scene. Soon after that, the digital audio player became the portable media player. More than just a name change this new application allowed videos to be converted and watch on media players.

Mp3s never shared their popularity with the not quite next generation of mp4s. This is due to spacing of the release points. Kane Kramer designed the first portable audio player in 1979, but his idea didn't really catch on until years after he was hired as a consultant by the then Apple Computers. The technology was already there for the mp4 when the mp3 was released but consumers were still enthralled by their ipods.

The mp5 player is the new kid in town. Unlike it's own predecessors, this version of the pmp (portable media players) has made a significant jump. Most standard mp5 players come with digital video recording that records up to a half hour worth of footage. Internet videos can be downloaded in Rmvb format allowing users to skip the conversion process and watch videos as soon as their done downloading. Also, mp5 players support a broader selection of media formats. New tech advances such as Wi-Fi, G. P. S., and Blue- tooth work seamlessly with the newest version of the media player, making it more than just a profitable rehash. - 22787
