Cheap Gaming Computers Do Exist

By Ian Graves

Sure you tossed around the idea of building your own gaming computer. But who has the time? Plus it can get expensive fast, especially if you're a noob at building computers. Yes, we all know about the great almighty leading manufacturer, but are you going to pay more for your gaming computer than your car? In reality you can get good quality, cheap gaming computers, if you know what you're looking for.

You can get quality gaming computers at reasonable prices. The smaller, cheaper manufactures offer a lot of the same specs, just without all of the expensive add-ons. Do you really need them anyway? The point is to get a gaming computer that you can afford. Well unless you want to trade you car in for the name brand computers!

Four main components:

Processor: One of the most important components in your gaming system is the processor. Inside the processor are the brains of the operation, these brains are called the "Core". You've heard the old saying, two heads are better than one. When looking at any gaming system, make sure the processor is at least a dual core, but try to find low cost quad cores. If possible, look for systems with multiple processors with dual or quad cores.

Memory: The other components feed off of the memory. If you don't have enough memory, don't expect to get very far in your game. Remember this tip it might come in handy when a friend beats you. You could always say you need to update your memory. Make sure your computer has at least 4GB.

Video Card: Alright this is not where you skimp on cost. You will want a great video card for your computer. If for some reason you skimp out on this, don't expect to be the leader in any of your games. In fact, you might want to get use to seeing your screen player doing good one minute and being attacked the next. Your video card will be to slow to let you see in real time. If you want to get into gaming make sure you have an updated video card, 512MB or better should do the trick.

Cooling System: If you plan on playing your game for a couple hours at a time the cooling system is crucial to your gaming computer. There are two main types of cooling systems you can get for your gaming computer. Air cooled and the liquid cooled. You will see debates running on this one day and night. The main key is to keep your computer from overheating.

There are websites that provide great low cost gaming systems. You will find when looking at these websites they also offer information on new and upcoming gaming systems. You will also find other gamers giving out information and tips on their sites. Which is also a plus for any gamer. The price on your gaming system has nothing to do with how good of a gamer you are. Becoming a master gamer is all on you, not your system.

Buying cheap gaming computers doesn't mean they are outdated or will not work with today's games. They may not look as fancy or have the big mark ups as the big manufactures, but this could also be a plus for some people. Regardless if you buy the cheap or expensive gaming computers, one thing you can count on is that technology is always growing. What you have today will need to be updated tomorrow. That's another good reason why you should buy an affordable gaming system. - 22787
