The Canon L 100 Printer, Fax Machine For Powerful Performance

By Ben Pate

If you are looking for fast fax transmission speeds in a powerful multifunction printer, then look no further than the Canon L 100 printer and proper Canon Toner! This machine uses the Super G3 33.6 Kbps modem and is able to transmit faxes at super speeds of three seconds per page. Both the reception and transmission memories of the machine are pretty incredible too, with a transmission memory of 340 pages and a reception of 346 pages. Never having to call to ask people to resend your fax again, has to be a blessing in disguise!

This machine also produces 12 pages per minute in good quality laser printing at 600 by 600 dpi. Cannon makes use of a unique high quality imaging technology known as UHQ which makes sure that both images and text are sent through at an exceptional level of quality.

Other features include 115 easy access speed dials, for one touch dialing, as well as FaxStream Duet compatibility. Of course FaxStream Duet can only be utilized if it is available from your service provider. Document and media handling include a minimum size of 105 x 148mm and a maximum size of A4, with a document feeder capacity of 30 sheets. It will also facilitate the use of legal size paper however, and the standard paper capacity in the paper cassette input tray is 150 sheets of plain paper.

This canon fax machine will both enlarge and reduce documents, with maximum preset reductions of 50%, and maximum preset enlargements of 200%. The maximum amount of copies the output tray is able to receive is pretty standard at 99 sheets, so if you are expecting a 150 page document, make sure that you are around to catch it.

Toner save is one of the features of the Canon L 100 that really excited me. Running out of toner is a constant worry to many people and short of keeping extra cartridges in stock, there is not really a great deal that can be done about running out. However with the toner save feature setting switched on, you will know from you paper count, more or less precisely when you should be due for a new toner cartridge. This helps to reduce your running costs and should see you able to achieve as many as 2000 copies from your machine.

Additional features of this machine include built in polling or remote fact retrieval, error correction mode, activity reporting, transmission verification reporting, grey-scale half tones of 64, smoothing and a telephone/fax switch. A telephone handset is an optional extra for this machine, and it uses all three MH, MMR and MR systems for data compression.

The Canon L 100 is able to operate in dual access mode. This means that when a fax is being received, and another fax comes in, it is answered and received into the memory of the machine. Your fax sender will not receive a busy tone. It has a very stylish design, is compact and neat, and makes for a very smart, as well as effective communication tool that is suitable for any home or business. Always use the Canon L 100 Toner with this product. - 22787
