Reviewing the Best Netbook For You

By Rick Amorey

It is always a good idea to know what you want before purchasing something, and netbooks are no different. Especially in a time where new units show up left and right, you'll need to be careful when choosing. Check the specifications, and compare units. That way you avoid feeling like you've wasted your money. Let's go through all the things that you need to check:

It may not be the most important, but it is still a good habit to first check the specifications of your netbook. You see, most of them have the same building blocks inside; but nevertheless, you should be careful about those units that spike these expectations up or down. It may not occur often enough, but it does happen.

Now, see if you can get a good feel for the unit itself. Are you comfortable with the keyboard, the monitor, and the trackpad sizes? Because of their small size, netbooks will most likely compensate by resizing these as well. But the primary thing to check here is comfort; what's the point of having a keyboard if you absolutely hate using it?

One other thing to consider is the battery that powers the machine. The netbook's biggest advantage over the larger notebooks is that it can last for two or three times longer. If the battery life, then, is just a couple of hours, then you are not taking advantage of that.

So now that you know what to check in a netbook, scout the various units out there in the market that is the best fit for your lifestyle. Now, if you can't be bothered to go out and look for these netbooks, don't fret! All you have to do is look for the appropriate netbook reviews online. They will inspect all the details above, and all the other quirks of every netbook that's currently hot on the shelves. - 22787
