Pink Laptops Gaining in Popularity

By Theodore Cartman

The world has radically been changed by the advent of computers. Their development has astounded the world by evolving from the huge workstations to smaller more agile personal computers that sit in most offices and homes in the US and the EU. This has also forever changed the way we live, work and conduct by introducing precision expertise in almost all facets of life and work. While personal computers were one of the greatest innovations known in the Industrial Age, the revolution was by no means over.

Laptops were to be the next apex of computer modernization. These were smaller more agile personal computers which in some cases spotted even more features than the regular PCs. Their weight was awe-inspiring and their speed breathtaking. Toshiba and Sony, the computer behemoths responsible for the laptop that we know today, worked tirelessly to shrink the laptop even further and when companies like Dell entered the fray, customization was the next big thing. Laptops are now ultra-thin and ultra-light without necessarily compromising on speed and performance. While this has been impressive, progress is being made and computers can now be customized right from a manufacturer's website. Dell used to pride itself on allowing its customers to request more memory, larger hard drives or monitor sizes but now customers can order colored laptops with pink being one of the most popular .

Pink laptops have caused quite a sensation. This is because manufacturers have capitalized on the sentimental value that people attach to color. For instance, pink is a color that arouses female sentiments. No wonder pink attachment that people, especially females have, to the color pink. That is why products that have pink as a color consistently outsell their counterparts.

Computer manufactures like Dell pioneered the art of allowing customers to actually order a computer directly from the warehouse. Together with this, they also allowed customers to customize their orders and the customer was not just limited to whatever specifics came with the computer. That means the buyer could now request specific memory sizes, screen sizes and resolution, hard drive size and now even color. That means that when a buyer goes to the Dell website to order a laptop, he or she has a wide range of options to chose from. There are now color schemes on the site and the purchaser is not merely limited to the same old black or grey dcor that has dominated the computer color scheme for years.

Pink laptops are attractive to look at. This makes them ideal for teenagers especially females although as we said earlier, ladies are not the only ones with an affinity for pink as a color. Creators of the pink laptops had high school teens in mind. This is because high schoolers have now joined the computer revolution and their computer use mostly gravitates towards the realms of gaming and online social networking. Gamers have given laptops, especially pink laptops a demand that has been unprecedented since the advent of the pink razor phone. Now the we can expect to see more pink laptops at local electronic stores and other dealers. - 22787
